How to Check your BVN Via Mobile Code

Checking your BVN on your mobile phone is now easy and faster with the new mobile code. Over the years so many people have been finding it difficult to check their Bank Verification Number, some will have to go to the bank and queue for hours just to check their BVN from their bank customer service assistant.


Technology has gone so far to an extent that you can now access so many things in the comfort of your zone, all you have to do is to get your mobile data ready and on to get access to anything online.

Now with the help of the Mobile Code for BVN, you can now check your BVN in all banks on your mobile phone via SMS. All you have to is to dial the code on the registered number with the bank you are using.

To see your Bank Verification Number via SMS simply dial *565*0# on the registered SIM which is linked with your bank account.

About Bank Verification Number (BVN)

The Bank Verification Number (BVN) is a unique 11 digits number authorized by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Central Bank of Nigeria, introduced the single Biometric Identification System in all bank accounts of any Nigerian.

Central Bank Nigeria invented the Bank Verification Number on the 14th of April, 2014. Later, in 2016, the Federal government made BVN mandatory for any citizen of Nigeria who operates a bank account in the country.
Bank Verification Number policy was initiated by the Federal government of Nigeria in the fight against corruption, fraud, and other financial related offenses in Nigeria.

You are advised to keep your BVN secret. You can easily check your BVN through the *565*0# code on your mobile phone via SMS in all banks using any Network when there is a need to use BVN. It works on any type of phone and does not require an internet connection.

NOTE: For it to work, You are required to use the phone number you used in creating the BVN Number or enrolled with the BVN and also have at least #20 airtime.

Immediately you are done dialing the code this message will appear on your phone screen, “Your BVN:222… Thank you for using BVN Service. You have been charged N20.48 for the service.”
